We recommend that you follow the steps below when you wash your Part Two knitwear – this will keep it looking beautiful for a long time, and hopefully, you will keep it for seasons to come. However, we recommend that you wash your knitwear as little as possible. Instead, air out your knitwear, and a good tip is to always wear a T-shirt under your knitwear – it makes it so much easier to wash.
We advise that you machine wash your knitwear – unless otherwise stated on the care label.Always wash on a specific wool program – cold or up to 30°C.
Always use wool detergent – and use only a minimum amount. Make sure to use a gentle spin cycle – max. up to 1000. Always flat dry your knitwear to keep the shape.
Choose a 20-30°C wool wash program and fill the machine with other garments so that the machine doesn’t damage it. At the same time, it is good for the environment to fill your machine every time you wash.
Handwash:
If you choose to hand wash – please use follow these guidelines:
Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water (20°C).
Always use a special wool detergent, preferably in liquid form.
Wash gently without stretching the knit.
Do not keep the sweater too long in water.
Rinse gently and never wring/twist your knitwear – you might ruin the shape.
Carefully roll your knitwear in a towel and press it gently to remove excess water before drying.
We recommend you dry your garment flat on a towel and on a flat surface (table, bed, etc.) Do not stretch the garment. Shape your knitwear the way you want it to look when it’s dry.
Ironing is not necessary if washing and drying have been carried out properly.
However, if you need to iron your jumper, take all necessary precautions:
Iron very gently on the reverse side.
Do not press/crush the knitwear.
Use a damp cloth.
To preserve your knitwear, always store it flat and not on a hanger, because then it will keep its shape for a very long time.
If you have a sweater where you experience pilling which is typical for wool fibres, you can use a cashmere comb to remove pilling or simply pick off any fibre clumps when the garment is still wet. Another tip is to add a few cedar balls to your closet when you pack away your woollens for the season since this will prevent moths and leave your sweaters nice and fresh.
